Fernando D. Contreras, Jr.
President/CEO
JR is the President/CEO of Imperium Technology Inc.
He leads the company's direction and growth and focuses on the international marketing for the company and was able to grow to US, Japan, Canada and the Australian market.
Prior to Imperium, he founded IPhil Communications Network, Inc., one of the country's largest Internet Service Provider, which was later bought by NASDAQ listed PSINet. He held several positions within PSINet including Country Manager for the Philippines and Asia Pacific Head for Product Development. JR also worked with Online Advanced Systems/Hewlett Packard and Oracle.
He has been involved with GNU/Linux since 1995 and part of his advocacy work includes spearheading some the country's major IT event including the Philippine Open Source Conference.
A graduate of Ateneo de Manila University, he holds a Bachelor's degree in Art on Interdisciplinary Studies.
Rafael R. Sevilla
Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Rafael R. Sevilla, or Dido, is currently the Chief Technology Officer for Imperium Technology Inc.
As Chief Technology Officer for Imperium, he has been the primary architect for many of the company's products and services since the company's inception. He has participated as the main Linux consultant for some of the largest enterprise Linux deployments in the country, at the behest of ON Semiconductor, WG&A, Smart Communications, and Globe Telecom. He is the primary designer behind the Mercuri Messaging System, Anubis Network Access System, and the Illuminati network monitoring system. He is the lead system architect behind the company's key international projects, including a large-scale distributed network fault management cluster for Virtela Communications and a multi-protocol interconnectivity platform between the Philippines and Japan.
He has been using GNU/Linux since 1996 and remains one of the well-known figures in the Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG). He was previously senior systems engineer at Inter.Net Philippines. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of the Philippines, and is currently working towards a Master of Computer Science degree from UP.
He was also awarded by The Association for Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS), Japan and The Philippine National IT Standards (PhilNITS) Foundation, Inc. for completing the Training Program for IT Professional of Philippines (PHTI) under the support of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan and The Department of Trade and Industry of the Philippines.
Rodolfo M. Ducanes, Jr.
Manager, Special Projects
Rodolfo "Pong" Ducanes Jr. is currently the Project Manager of Imperium Technology Inc.
A pioneer of Imperium Technology, Pong helped developed initial revenue stream for the company. He was the lead manager in the creation of Imperium Sports Statistics System. A system that revolutionized sports statistics gathering in the country. The system generates real-time data gathering and reporting that was previously done on a manual-basis. It is the de-facto standard for statistics recording all major basketball leagues in the country that includes PBA, UAAP, PBL and Champions League.
As a project manager he lead a team to diversify development efforts to other horizontal markets such as the first web-based Flight Reservation System in the country.
Having good inter-personal skills he works with relationship management with both local and international customers in Japan. As an advocate of good governance he volunteered as a coordinator and technical staff for NAMFREL and is the lead coordinator for the company in participating with the Coalition Against Corruption (CAC).
Pong holds a Degree in Financial Accounting from the Far Eastern University.
Reny S. Geronimo
Manager, Sales & Marketing
Reny S. Geronimo is the head of Sales & Marketing. He is a key figure in the acquisition and maintenance of all major corporate accounts of the company. Part of his responsibility is top-line revenue stream for Philippine based customer.
As a pioneer employee of Imperium, he led the generation of revenue strategy of the company from its inception. Prior to Imperium, he held various management positions in some of the country's largest ISPs like Inter.net, PSINet and IPhil.
His extensive experience in sales and marketing was brought about by his almost 30 years of expertise in this domain. He was president and co-founder of Advertising Professionals, Inc. (ADPRO, Inc.) a locally bred ad agency established in 1984.
Joey S. Licsi
Manager, Sales Consultant
Joey is the current Head for the Events Management and is a senior member of the Sales Consulting group of Imperium, being one of the pioneer employee. He is instrumental in developing emerging markets in digital banking for the company and is the lead project manager for projects like RCBC for their MyRCBC phone banking systems, Mobile Content project for M-Tech.Group. He led Imperium in initial implementation of a hybrid wired and wireless system during the early days of Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) technology.
He is a veteran on the Internet scene having worked for several leading ISP in the country such as Inter.net , PSINet and IPhil Communications with work ranging from customer service coordination to management of carrier-class Internet data center facilities.
Being in the corporate world for 19 years he has honed techniques in sales and customer handling and management of important accounts for various companies he has handled.
Joey holds an Engineering Degree (Mechanical) from the Far Eastern University.
Jorge S. Salgado
Manager, Customer Support Service
Mr. Jorge S. Salgado is currently the head of Network Facility Group of Imperium Technology, Inc. He steers the group in managing in-house and on-site support front line support services. He led the provisioning of the companies 1st major multi-national account through a developmental partnership with Unisys.
Jorge also, managed and maintained support services with the countries major food chain as well as one of the largest retail chain in the country.
Prior to Imperium, he held serveral Technical and Engineering positions with the largest ISPs in the country which includes Inter.Net, PSINet and IPhil Communications. He was also one of the lead technical personnel of I-way Services who was the first Internet Cafe in the Philippines.
Jorge holds a Commerce Degree from Divine Word College of Laoag.
Aldrin R. Valencerina
Manager, Web Design & Development
Aldrin is currently the Creative Specialist and Web Content Manager of Imperium Technology, Inc. As part of his task, he leads the design and development of the Imperium's web content customers. He handles content management for international customers of Imperium in the US and Japan.
Being a respected figure in the local design scene, he was chosen as a pre-finals judge for the Philippine Web Awards . He was instrumental in bringing the Alaska Aces Website as a finalist in the 8th Philippine Web Awards.
As part of the development of Imperium's Online Sports Statistics System, Aldrin developed the pioneering direct computer to live on-air graphics operation on sports coverage in the country. He has been exposed to sports like boxing, billiards, volleyball, and badminton covering local leagues as well as regional meeting like the South East Asian Games (SEAGames).
A self-taught web designer and developer, a web aficionado and a basketball fanatic, Aldrin holds a Degree in Computer Science from the Central Colleges of the Philippines.
