Requirements:
  • College Graduate preferably BS Computer Engineer or related courses
  • Basic knowledge in Networking applications
  • With an interest in internetworking applications
  • Willing to learn the ropes as they go along
  • Candidates must have good oral and written capabilities in English
  • Must be willing to undergo language training as well as technical training as required
Sr. Network Operation Engineer

Requirements:
  • Technical B.S. degree required preferably BS Computer Engineer or related courses
  • Extensive knowledge of IP networking and applications running over networks
  • Hands-on network & application troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP)
  • Understanding of how Telecommunication Service Providers install, test, and troubleshoot circuits; excellent computer skills including Unix.
  • World-class skills in interfacing with customers and is willingness to go the “extra-mile” to assist them.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, to include resources, priorities, and timelines.
Key Position Responsibilities:
  • Support the operation of advanced IP network services
  • Receive calls from customers to open trouble tickets
  • Work trouble tickets to resolve customer and network issues
  • Work with Telecommunication Service Providers to resolve circuit problems to resolution
  • Work with Hardware/Software Vendors to resolve problems
  • Work a rotating shift schedule
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Job Description

The Network Operations Center (NOC) Network Engineer provides first-line Network Surveillance and Event Management support of the Virtela Network. The NOC Network Engineer works as a member of the NOC Service Team within Virtela's NOC. NOC Service Teams are responsible for high-level network operations support of the Virtela Core Network and multiple Customer Networks, delivered in accordance with standard Virtela Event Management procedures.

The successful NOC Network Engineer should have extensive knowledge of IP networking and applications running over networks; hands-on network & application troubleshooting experience; experience with routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP); understanding of how Telecommunication Service Providers install, test, and troubleshoot circuits; excellent computer skills including Unix.

The NOC Network Engineer should have world-class skills in interfacing with customers and is willing to go the “extra-mile” to assist them.

A NOC Network Engineer should have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, to include resources, priorities, and timelines.

NOC Engineer should have adequate knowledge and experience in configuration of Cisco or/and Juniper Routers. Experience in routing protocols like RIP, BGP,EIGRP, OSPF.
